1 Privacy Introduction

Vrindavan My Trips (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website vrindavanmytrips.com and provides pilgrimage tour, taxi and hotel-booking services across Mathura, Vrindavan and the wider Braj region. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights available to you.

By using our website, contacting us on WhatsApp or by phone, or booking a tour or taxi with us, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services or provide us with your personal information.

This Policy applies to all visitors, customers and users of Vrindavan My Trips’s website, WhatsApp channel, and offline booking desk.

2 Information We Collect

We collect information in two broad ways: information you give us directly, and information collected automatically when you browse our website.

When you make an enquiry, book a tour, or contact us, we may collect:

  • Full name, phone number, email address and city of residence
  • Travel dates, number of travellers, and preferred destinations or packages

  • Approximate location, derived from IP address (city/region level, not precise GPS)
  • Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 3)

4 Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website — which pages are viewed, how long visitors stay, and which packages generate the most interest. Google Analytics collects data such as your IP address (which may be anonymised), device type, and browsing behaviour on our site.

This information helps us improve our tour packages, page content and overall website experience. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

6 WhatsApp Communication

A large part of our booking and support process happens over WhatsApp. When you message us or click a “Chat on WhatsApp” button on our site, WhatsApp (owned by Meta Platforms) processes your phone number and message content in accordance with its own privacy policy.

  • We use your WhatsApp conversation to respond to enquiries, share itineraries and quotations, and confirm bookings.
  • We do not use your WhatsApp number for unsolicited marketing without your consent.
  • Conversation history may be retained for support and record-keeping purposes, as described in Section 7.

7 Payment Information

Where a booking requires an advance payment, transactions are processed through licensed third-party payment gateways (such as Razorpay, PayU, or UPI providers). We do not store your full card number, CVV, or net-banking credentials on our own servers.

Our payment partners are independently responsible for the security of the payment information they process, in line with applicable card industry standards (PCI-DSS).

8 Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, including:

  • Booking records: retained for up to 7 years, to meet accounting and tax record-keeping obligations.
  • Enquiry & WhatsApp messages: retained for up to 24 months, or until you request deletion.
  • Website analytics data: retained as per Google Analytics’ default retention settings (up to 26 months).

You may request earlier deletion of your data at any time, subject to our legal obligation to retain certain financial records.

9 Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with:

  • Service partners — hotels, drivers and local guides, so that your booking can be fulfilled.
  • Payment gateways — to process advance payments securely.
  • Analytics & advertising providers — Google Analytics and Google Ads, as described above.
  • Legal authorities — only where required by applicable law, court order, or government request.

10 Third-Party Services

Our website may link to, or embed content from, third-party services such as Google Maps, YouTube, or social media platforms. These third parties have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of websites we do not operate.
