- Taj Mahal is closed every Friday — the itinerary is adjusted automatically if your dates fall on a Friday.
- Carry a government-issued photo ID; it’s needed for Taj Mahal entry and hotel check-in.
- Small bags are allowed inside the Taj Mahal complex, but large backpacks, food, tripods and power banks are not.
- Most Mathura/Vrindavan temples close between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM — the Day 2 evening and Day 3 morning slots are planned around this.
- Dress modestly — shoulders and knees covered — for entry at all temples.
- Weekends, Sharad Purnima, Janmashtami and Holi see heavy crowds at both the Taj Mahal and Vrindavan temples — plan extra time on these dates.
- Carry sunscreen and a hat — the Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri visits involve a fair amount of walking in the open.
