About The Journey7 Days Braj Chaurasi Kos Yatra
The Braj Chaurasi Kos Yatra is a 252-kilometre parikrama of the entire Braj region — the land where Krishna’s leelas unfolded. As per the Bhagavad Gita, completing this circuit is considered one of the most virtuous acts of pilgrimage, and traditionally takes anywhere from a week on foot to several days by vehicle. This 7-day package is our most complete private-cab version of the full 84 Kos circuit — the only one of our itineraries that also reaches the far western stretch through Kaman, Chhata and Kosi Kalan.
Each day follows a natural geography — Mathura first, then Vrindavan’s core temples, Gokul-Mahavan-Baldev, the Govardhan Parikrama, the outer Kaman-Chhata-Kosi circuit, Barsana-Nandgaon with their surrounding vans, and finally a relaxed local darshan before departure — so the trip covers all 12 forests, 24 gardens and the major kunds without unnecessary backtracking.

The 84 Kos ParikramaWhat Makes This Yatra Complete
Unlike shorter Braj darshan trips that cover only the headline temples, the true Chaurasi Kos Yatra is defined by its full sweep of sacred geography — the forests, groves and ponds tied to specific moments of Krishna and Radha’s leelas. This 7-day itinerary is the only one in our lineup built to touch all four categories across the complete 252 km route, including the outer Kaman stretch most shorter trips leave out.
Complete CoverageThe 12 Sacred Vans on This Route
The 12 principal vans (forests) are the backbone of the true 84 Kos Parikrama — this 7-day itinerary is planned so all of them fall naturally along the route, rather than being treated as optional detours.
- Madhuvan & Talvan — near Mathura, among the oldest-named forests in Braj scripture.
- Kumudvan & Bahulavan — close to Gokul and Mahavan, covered on Day 3.
- Bhadravan, Belvan & Bansi Vat — visited on Day 6 en route to Barsana-Nandgaon.
- Lohvan — near Mahavan, associated with the Lohasura leela, covered on Day 3.
- Kokilavan — near Nandgaon, home to a well-known Shani Dev shrine, on Day 6.
- Kamavan — the farthest van of the circuit, in Kaman, covered in full on Day 5.
- Vrindavan & Mahavan — the two most central vans, covered across Day 2 and Day 3.

Pilgrim VoicesWhat Travellers Say
We had tried a 3-day trip before and always felt we’d missed something. This 7-day version actually reached Kaman — nobody else offers that.
Baldev’s Dauji Temple was a highlight we didn’t expect. Genuinely the most complete Braj parikrama we could have asked for.
Day 5 to Kaman and Chhata is a long drive, so pace yourself, but it’s worth it for completing the full 84 Kos properly.
Common QuestionsFrequently Asked Questions
This 7-day version adds two dedicated days — Baldev’s Dauji Temple and the far western circuit of Kaman, Chhata and Kosi Kalan — that the 5-day trip doesn’t have time to cover. It’s built for travellers who want the truly complete 84 Kos parikrama, not just the core Braj temples.
Yes, six nights across Mathura and Vrindavan hotels on double/twin sharing basis are included, along with daily breakfast and dinner. Room upgrades are available on request.
A section of the parikrama is done on foot as part of the darshan experience. For elderly travellers or those with mobility concerns, a shorter route or vehicle-assisted option can be arranged in advance.
We recommend a 6:00 AM start on Day 1 so you reach Mathura by mid-morning and can settle in before the afternoon temple closures.
Daily breakfast and dinner are included with the hotel stay; lunch on all days is left free so you can enjoy local vegetarian eateries near the temples.
Yes — our 5-day Braj Chaurasi Kos Yatra covers the core circuit without Kaman-Chhata-Kosi, and our 3 or 4-day trips focus purely on Mathura, Vrindavan, Gokul and Govardhan. Message us on WhatsApp and we’ll tailor a plan to your dates.
