Anything not specifically mentioned under inclusions
  • The Taj Mahal remains closed for all visitors on Fridays — plan your Agra day accordingly.
  • Sunrise entry at the Taj Mahal beats both the crowds and the midday heat — highly recommended.
  • Amber Fort involves uphill walking; a jeep ride is available at an additional cost for those who prefer not to walk up.
  • Carry a government-issued photo ID — it’s required for entry at most monuments and for hotel check-in.
  • Dress modestly at religious sites; comfortable walking shoes are recommended for all three cities.
  • Peak season (Oct–Mar) sees heavy crowds at the Taj Mahal and Amber Fort — an early start helps considerably.
  • Carry some cash — many monument counters and local bazaars don’t accept cards.
  • Let us know in advance if you’d like the Mathura-Vrindavan darshan extension on your Day 4 drop.

About The Journey4 Days Golden Triangle Mini Tour

India’s Golden Triangle links Delhi, Agra and Jaipur in a roughly 720-km loop, with each leg a comfortable half-day drive on good expressways. This 4-day mini tour is built for travellers with limited leave who still want to see every headline monument — the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Amber Fort, City Palace and Hawa Mahal — without feeling rushed.

Each day follows the natural geography of the loop — Delhi first, then Agra for the Taj Mahal at sunrise, then Jaipur’s forts and palaces, before a relaxed drive back — so you get the most India per day, with proper rest each night. As a Vrindavan-based travel team, we also offer an easy Mathura-Vrindavan extension on your return leg for those who’d like to close the trip with a temple darshan.

We added the Vrindavan stop on the way back and it turned out to be our favourite part of the whole trip.

Driver was punctual and the hotels were clean and central. The Jaipur to Delhi drive on the last day is long, so start early.

Common QuestionsFrequently Asked Questions

Is 4 days enough for the full Golden Triangle?

Yes — 4 days is the most efficient way to cover Delhi, Agra and Jaipur’s headline sights. Three days is possible but rushed; if you’d like more breathing room, ask us about our longer 5 or 6-day versions.

Are monument entry tickets included?

No, entry tickets for the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Amber Fort, City Palace and other monuments are not included, so you can choose which ones to enter and pay directly at each counter.

Can we add a Mathura-Vrindavan stop?

Yes — this is one of our specialties. We can route your Day 4 return through Mathura-Vrindavan for a temple darshan before dropping you back, for a small additional cost.

Is a local guide included in each city?

Guides are available as a paid add-on per city — let us know while booking if you’d like an English or Hindi speaking guide at the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Amber Fort or Jaipur city sights.

What if we’re travelling with elderly members?

Amber Fort’s uphill walk can be avoided with a jeep ride, and the overall pace can be adjusted — just mention this while enquiring so we can plan accordingly.

Can this trip be extended?

Yes — message us on WhatsApp and we can extend this into a 5 or 7-day trip, or combine it with our Mathura-Vrindavan or Braj Chaurasi Kos Yatra packages.
